Baking soda helps get rid of the oil and dirt from your scalp and gives you soft and clean hair. It sort of acts like a dry shampoo and might be the key to a flake free and healthy scalp. People who have over active oil glands can benefit from the use of baking soda. It removes all the grim, dirt and dandruff.
When you apply conditioner to your hair after shampooing, you actually out some oil back into the scalp. This oil can attract grim and dirt and make your hair more oily and cause dandruff. Baking soda cleans the hair and makes the hair soft without adding any artificial oil.
Add 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda to a cup of lukewarm water and make sure there are no lumps. Now apply this paste to your scalp and massage gently. Rinse it off with water within 5 seconds. Do not keep it for longer as it can make hair rough. In order to counter the high pH of baking soda, rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar after using baking soda.
