Summer time is here with all the havoc it creates on the skin.  But since you cannot avoid this season you would have to find ways to take care of your skin in the summer such that it cannot destroy your looks. It is not that difficult either to take care of your skin in summer; of course you would have to devote a little extra time and a little extra effort during this season than you usually have to do in winters. There are some steps that you must never miss in your regular skin care regimen during the time of the summer.

  • Keep you skin clean and make sure you use a toner to close the open pores after cleansing. The open pores would lead to more skin problems in summer and hence keeping your skin squeaky clean as well as toning your skin is extremely important for achieving healthy skin in summer.
  • Moisturizing is important too during all seasons and the same goes for summer season as well. Many people do not like to use moisturizers during summer since it leaves a sticky feeling but use a mild moisturizer that is easily absorbed in the skin but make sure you do.
  • Use sunscreens generously all over your skin before going out into the sun. Even it is a cloudy day, the harmful rays of the sun reaches you just the same. Hence whatever you do, do not forget your sunscreen at any cost.

  • Drink lots and lots of fluids. And fluids do not mean aerated or synthetic drinks, it means original fruit juices, water and so on. Eat healthy too and follow a diet that includes colored vegetables and seasonal fruits. Avoid spicy, oily and junk food during this season.
  • Shower at least twice a day to keep your skin cool during the hot and humid climate. Use mild soap for hygiene but not more than twice since that would dry out your skin completely.
